La Fraisette
Leonetto Cappiello was an Italian poster artist who lived much of his life in Paris. He is credited with reinventing the advertising poster by experimenting with a new and bold graphical style. He took bright subjects and contrasted them with a plain or dark background in order to make them 'pop.'
My version of his work uses a 'mashup' of his original artwork and my digital process that combines pattern, text and images to put a new spin on the original. Any images used are in the public domain.
